Looking for a gearbox

Hi all

My pal has an R plate collie manual. A bit under a quarter of a million miles. makes a bad grinding sound when changing gear. if you put a bit of pressure on the gearstick when its being driven makes a loud wine.

Pretty sure its not the transfer box. we've changed the gearbox oil, came out clear but problem persists.

does anyone have any pointers on where we can find a good replacement box from?
