Morocco October 2015

My pleasure guys:)

Just finished compiling the track log for the trip and key waypoints. Can anyone remember how much it was at Camping Tifnia outside Erfoud?

Wasn't it 80dh plus 5dh tax? Quite an expensive site given what we paid elsewhere.

After Gary and I split we took the opportunity to take in a bit of the ancient history of Morocco. We had a morning in Volubilis which was a Roman city. It's a UNESCO World heritage site. Hmm, not sure anyone told the Moroccans. It had been pashing down and some of the mosaics were covered in water and mud. Out came this little chap who proceeded to squeegee off the muck from 2000 year old priceless Roman art. Sigh.

What amazed me was seeing they had electricity all those years ago... look see :wtf: :icon-wink:

They also had underfloor heating and concrete as well, oh wait the Romans used concrete pretty widely :)

We actually visited 2 UNESCO World Heritage Site in the first few days at El Jadida and Essaouira as well as several RAMSAR Sites and a UNESCO Biosphere reserve along the route :)

Finished a couple of Timelapses

1st Wild Camp

and the Desert Highway into Tata

You did George.............a few times :)

It was great to meet you and show you around a little bit of Morocco :D
