Motorway speeds, very relaxing.

So today, I made what is a very infrequent trip on the Motorway in my 1997 Auto Collie. Motorway speed around 70 I was reminded how noisy my Defender and even my 1995 Discovery was when I had them in comparison to the relative quietness of the Collie with just a hint of wind noise and background hum. I would venture that it was almost as quiet as my ex Discovery 3. A quite enjoyable and relaxing drive.

I have a 1997 auto Collie too - the 3.4v6 petrol. It was as hushed and smooth as a limo before I started various mods (see Sig).

Now it probably gives Defenders a run for their money!!

Yeah mine is quite smooth too even for commuting. Just glides!

Agree with all the above but I did find the D4D Collie a little "gruff" as far as refinement goes but the V6 is a peach.
