Any of you had any real snow yet?
As usual the weather men keep on promising it but it never seems to
come.

Just looked out of the window here in London and it is snowing heavily.
Going up to Leeds tomorrow by train, so expect the usual =8Cwrong snow=B9
nonsense.
Jeremy
PS. Am constantly reminded of the wealth of information and help on the Elco
site. There is the most amazing mix of people and info available. Just wish
I had the time and a covered workshop to get on with more of it myself
rather than having to give my car to someone else. But I guess it all keeps
the economy going...
In the time it has taken to write London=B9s heavy snow has given to cold,
clear skies.

Hi all,
In Warsaw, where I am at the moment, we had a couple of inches of snow
during the last few days - noting really to write home about. In
winter, most cars drive on M+S tyres anyway and you can't use snowfall
such as this as an excuse for being late.

Julian,
It has been so long since we had real snow in the south I don't
see it happening. It must be 25 years. Now the weather people go on
about "up to 2 cm of snow", that is not snow, it's frost.
Clive.

Hi Clive,
You are right.
I remember being snowed in for a week in Shropshire in '86 or '87 and
then previous heavy snow around '83.
I was listening to a farming program on R4 early one morning over the
weekend and a farmer was talking about getting snowed in in
Somerset/Devon in the sixties - the snow arrived on boxing day and
didn't melt until mid march!

Julian,
We now have snow a little like icing sugar but it is still white.

Julian,
I remember that 1960's snow. I think it was 62 0r 3, I used to
walk to work in it and it lay about for ages.
Regards, Clive.
