Project 'red van' (says the 4 year old) build thread

Coolant system is back together. 76 degree stat and digital temp sensor mount are in. Strangely the replacement a/c condenser isn't quite the same positioning on the brackets so will need to extend the bottom ones. Wedged them in for now.

Oh and today's 'doh!' moment came when I tried to install the passenger seat belt with an impact gun and set of the pretentioner. Muppet!

Toyota seatbelts are lazy retracting even when new but i was pleasantly surprized to find they were unusually sensibly priced when i got my new ones from Simon Holton , its a good while ago but i'm thinking maybe £140 each at a guess ?

hmm me and you have a different version of reasonably priced Shayne :tearsofjoy:

Jokes aside, safety first

Relative value Beau I can't remember the price i've buried it while trying to get over the depression it caused but i think mrT charged me about a million pounds for a poxy bit of draftproofing (the wheel arch gasket) something Sikaflex does better :angry-banghead:

Plasti welding this evening... Fixed the centre console lid. Decided to do the top as well rather than just inside as it's stronger and the wife will be covering it / adding foam pad anyway.

Also got the parts ready for purple raptor.

Honestly it is totally amazing stuff. Watch some aus 4wd action on YouTube. Shauno has an 80 done in it and most of the time you wouldn't know it's raptored.
