Thanks RR obviously i hope i won't need them either but i'm no bush mechanic . What about booking in advance i've never used the tunnel but can't help thinking its just a train and i usually book trains the evening before i travel ?

Crossed posts i guess i will look at booking the ferry soon . I hope you don't mind me just following you along but this is all new to me , getting lost is fun to me but Helen does tend to panic a bit . I will go through the links you posted about camp sites later .

So, it's a convoy of three by the looks, and me for some day-trips out for a week if I can get the time off.

We'll have some fun lads and lass, all the more beer for us!

you are more than weclome to stick with me also i have a friend coming with me and he looks after LR so he will help you as well if he can

euro tunnel is sold out up to midday on sat 15th aug so that out

DFDS is also getting full up as well

PO still looks ok but dearer , one think i saw on this site was it has a Fully Flexi so will use this for the return trip just in case i have trouble on the way home

so will book this weekend

Spirit of Britain 7.35am is closest i can find , that's on P&O . I would book now but can't make head nor tails of the vehicle size selection , will have to measure up and phone them tomorrow .

Just been on their site and although it's showing times available for the Spirit of France it won't let me select it, I'll give them a call in the morning as their office is closed now.

RR did you book on Spirit of France at 7.45am? PO are telling me there is no Spirit of France sailing at that time, only much earlier or later. There is a Spirit of Britian sailing at 7.35.

All we have to do is agree on one as none of us have a ticket yet .

Yes, they are the ships and times I got. Anytime at all is OK for me as I'm not that far from Dover

i am up at 3.00am mon to sat

but you will see i am in bed by 8.30pm

So 7.35am is good for me as well
