Drove from Perth, did the Gibb River Road, nearly rolled the cruiser into the river with the 7 meter crock. Drove up to Mitchel Falls, hiked in and caught the helicopter out
. Driving to Lake Argyle tomorrow, then to the Bungle Bungles

Wow that's great.

I like the way he took a few circuits to let you have a good look at the falls and the river.

My Mrs is always saying "don't go too close to the edge..."

Found a wreck on Drysdale Station and scored a grandpa spec sun visor off it, compleate with bullet hole :) Few other random pics of out trip, done over 6500km so far, by the time I get home will be 9000km

Great series of pics and posts there SeaYay! Only just seen your thread for he first time. Nice looking truck with plenty of tasty mods, very impresse!

Love your country too - I remember having a fabulous time travelling around some of those parts on a working holiday many years back.

Good score on the sun visor :icon-biggrin:

Thanks Cruiserdude, I got back from another trip to the North West a few days ago. While I was up there this time I bought a flip up window

Flip up windows look very useful and compliment the truck well as do those wheels

reset the fan clutch today, and changed the silicone oil in it to 15000. Prob not an issue in the UK, but when I take it up to the Pilbara and using the air-con all the time (it was around 42c, maybe more) it was getting a bit warm

Did another 19 hr trip to Karratha, there was a cyclone a few days prior and the Gascoyne River was in flood, and we hit a flooded road around 9pm, got the speed down to about 60kmh from 100kmh but still had a wall of water come up over the windscreen and total loss of vision, lucky there were no cows in it :) . Liked the flip up window I got while up here so much that I got one for the other side, so much easyer to access the back whith the wheel and now bike carrier blocking the tailgate. The Spal fan on the intercooler has crapped out, this is the third one, and I will get another under warantee when back in Perth, wish I had gone the front mount, the top mount is way better for access, but front mounts have no moving parts

Drove from Perth to Karratha last Sat (10/2/18) and went thru a bit of a storm, started as a dust storm around Miniyia, then lightning, and rain so hard around Nanutarra about 9pm that I had to slow to 50 kmh with the wipers on full. Lucky I did because there was cows sleeping on the road and I would have hit them for sure. Spent a few days packing then towed a trailer back to Perth (1600km). We made it out just as a cyclone was bearing down on the Pilbara . Bloody thing was like towing a parachute thru headwinds from Nanutarra to Carnarvon, was working it pretty hard and engine temp got as high as 112c so we had to slow to 80kmh. After Carnarvon seemed ok at 95 kmh with engine temps at 95 to 100c. Trans temps were constant at 80c.

Boab sell them

went and bought new coolant, some radiator flush, and a genuine thermostat to give the cooling system a birthday, surprisingly the genuine Toyota thermostat with new O ring seal was only $21. Last week I also replaced the aftermarket R/H battery tray with a genuine Toyota one, to help keep that battery cool, it was $130, not much more than what it was going to cost me in heat shield to mod the existing aftermarket tray

Last year we did the Pilbara and Kimberly with a roof top tent, this time we want to do it with a bit more creature comforts, and this came up at a good price, we're looking forward to the next trip :):)
