was the lift pump compensating for a problem with the IP?

yes it was, the pump housing and main shaft was worn, kept it going ok for a while but started raising the oil level so put it in for replacement

Drove from one town to another along the beach, about 20 miles, no problems at all :)

Cracking set up you got there  ....... Love the Dog...

Replaced the big end bearings for peace of mind, there is 574000km on the old girl now and the last 100,000 at around 3 times the factory boost level. The old ones showed no signs of delamination and the internals look good, no sludge build-up at all, the benefit of changing the oil often. Also one battery dropped a cell 2 weeks before the 3 year warrantee expired at the same time the store had a sale on, usually $265aud each, down to $201aud each. so I now have 2 new batteries that only cost me $201 instead of $530 :)

towed the caravan 300km south for a 3 day break, the new brake booster works well. Had a tyre blow out on the freeway at 90kmh witch was exiting, caravan bucked around a fair bit, glad its duel axle

Looks like a lot of tread left on that one tis bloody sad to see that don't mind if it's nigh on worn out what was the cause or was there too much damage to tell anyway hope you had a good time

Now that looked like fun Seejay if that was your trailer any chance you could put some pictures up please and a bit of a write up on it as am looking for ideas for mine cheers steve

yes its our camper trailer, home made but not by me. Has a slide out for cooking, and independent suspention, queen inerspring matress, good seals and latches so is reasonably dust proof. Treg hitch over ride brakes

We didnt have it set up perfectly there, we were setting up camp after dark. Its got a 60 liter water tank, you can see the tap on the side, and the silver ducting is from a diesel heater we set up outside on the ground

Do you find that you pack heavy with your trailer as you got the extra space or have you just what you need

we took a few things that we didn't use, but it was quite a remote trip, and better to have and not need, than need and not have :) the 80 didnt notice the extra weight

Never seen Raptor Liner applied that heavy before and in such a fantastic colour are you going to do the rest of the truck and trailer

the application didn't hold up in the 450km trip home in the pouring rain :) still have a bit of cleaning to do, but it was good if not clean fun :)
