Speedo neelde jumping

My speedo needle is jumping up and down sometimes, but it is getting more frequent. Is there a known fix for this, or any idea as to what could cause it ?
It is a 1995 24v HDJ80. I believe its an electronic speed signal.

Oh I never did the wire welding tick that you showed Rich. I just stuck a new genuine sender on each and it fixed both trucks. Until yesterday. Dang. I have to take the cluster out in any case to fix a flickering lamp so whilst it's out I'll look at the tracks.
