Tried to edit the cock up on the title but no joy...sorry.
The Toyota coolant recovery system works perfect but, whenever there is a leak it effectively disguises it. Also, Toyota decided a low water warning was not needed so I intend to fit one to compliment my low oil pressure warning light that succumbed to the same 'not needed' thoughts by Mr T's designers.
Using a pressurised vessel will allow me to have an instant warning of a leak as opposed to the cloud of steam coming from under the bonnet that signals there is a problem.
I already have the hose 'T' piece made up and now just need to change the cap and fit the expansion tank, the sensor will be wired up to the already installed low oil pressure buzzer, I have also installed the low oil pressure warning light in the vertical bar normally used for the automatic gear indicator, so just need to fit another for low water.
Has anyone seen or can suggest a 'pressurised' expansion tank that has a sensor and would be small enough to fit in the stock position? Most are round and too bulky for my purposes.
regards
Dave
