Cheers mate - I'll see if I can make slower version and upload it. It's about 40 minutes of footage in all from the 5 hour drive down.

We have a rear camera setup now too so the next adventurous road we end up on will have some shots out the back too :)

Here is a version at 2x mate ... 18 minutes long.

Unfortunately the microphone from this camera doesn't work .. so it's mostly silent.

Huh - so much for that. You tube won't allow it as it was too long apparently

That little dog just kept following and following ... we thought we lost him several times in quicker sections of the track. But no ... sure enough when we slowed down there he was. I wish we had some food to give him.

the nutter on the full road bike with skinny tyres was a Chinese Guy. We stopped to see if he needed any help but there wasn’t much English on his side nor Chinese on ours. He was intending to cycle the entire road we just came down on .... so yes a total nutter. I like to think he made it up here though!

You should just do it, you have an awesome 80 almost back on the road now. It would be a shame to keep it locked up and not travelling

Our first Georgian meal - this kubdari is a local Svaneti specialty which our waiter recommended and the ladies ordered one each ... we could have easily sharedone between us they were huge!!! But it was a delicious meat and onion filled bread and with the guys helping we managed to finish it all!

in the morning and started driving west ... a little later, we heard a pop! Grant knew this was the inter cooler hose (which if not fixed straight away can damage the engine) and we pulled over straight away into a quiet side street ... which ended up being the busiest street ever. Grant quickly got it fixed up whilst Sarah and Tianna tried to protect him from cars getting too close, but we were a little surprised that not one person stopped to help us or ask what was happening ... hopefully we are just used to the super helpfulness of the Turkish and we will get to know more of the Georgian people as we go on. Also, every time we get a guest, we have a maintenance issue ... hrm .....

Searching for a wild camp and it was getting late so we headed back into town to find a hotel, passing a farm with a camping sign, so we knocked on the door to see if we could stay on their land ... not only were they the friendliest family (also letting us use their bathroom!), they had 3 dogs and 2 pigs for us to get our animal fix from.
We set up the tent and the gazebo, got the heater out and enjoyed a relaxing evening. What we didn’t realise was that it was going to be below zero overnight ... ice on the tent when we woke up! But worth it for the beautiful views and puppy playtime

Ushguli - a UNESCO heritage listed village, the highest permanent settlement in Europe (2100m), at the foot of the Shkhara summit (5193m). We were lucky enough for some beautiful (although very cold) weather to visit, as Ushguli can often be inaccessible during the winter months. Not many tourists around this time of year (early Nov), so not much is open, but we found a sweet guesthouse, a cute cafe with a view and visited the Lamaria church and the Ethnographic museum. Just an amazing place to visit.
