User map

Obviously I'm missing something here...how does one get their pin to appear on the map? I've stuck my postcode into the relevant field on my profile, but nothing doing as yet.

Also, the job which runs the update only happens at 11pm each night so any change will only take effect then. Google get cross with me if I run it too often

Even with that there is a small bug which stops it from running. I run it manually from time to time (like now ) until I can get it fixed...

Is the user map fixed? I've just updated my location for my impending arrival in Aus...

yup, it is but you need to edit the "Map Location" in "User Profile Fields" box in your profile. That is the one which the the map uses. The "location" box is what is displayed under your name.
Once you change it, the overnight process will update the details in the backend.
