Vibration at tick over

Hi All

I have devolved a vibration at tick over tick over - tick over set at 900rpm tried different rpm's and still vibration.

Seems a little worse when it is in drive so pop it out now at traffic lights,

When you are going along it is a smooth and a baby's.



Anyone with an idea what it might be ???

I have a similar vibe on my 80 Mal, mine is caused by the rear most section of exhaust touching the tow bar.... Once off tickover it goes completely.

You sure that new exhaust isn't touching anywhere?

I'm with Paul on this one. If nothing else has changed then exhaust moving is number on suspect. Put yu foot on the tailpipe and give it wiggle. The vibration can travel up the chassis and make it sound like it's coming from somewhere completely different.
