Hi,
Just a quick note to say welcome aboard to Craig (Vincent).
Whilst you aren't exactly in Europe (NZ is a long way away), we welcome
your experience and contributions.
For those of you that don't know, Craig is an 80 series owner from NZ
with an exceptional technical head on him, particularly when it comes
to things like engines, injection systems, turbos, intercoolers, etc.
He also has a good knowledge of things like biodiesel, etc.

I wonder if location really means anything in this context. For
instance Craig that probably seats right now on the other side of the
world (Pt-NZ are antipodes) has helped me a lot more than many Pt guys
just a few hundred meters away.
But I believe ELCO already has a few non-European based members, Gordy
and Dana for istance come to mind.
Maybe we should remove the European thing from the list name :)

Hi Joaquim,
Neither of these are on the list.
Sorry, it's staying.
The reason why we setup the list in the first place was that most of
the other LC lists are either biased towards and dominated by Aus or
the US.
I think that there are enough differences between the models we have
over here in Europe, what we do with our TLCs and more importantly
local suppliers to retain Euro focused.

I would like to add that most of us still use the other lists as there
is a lot of knowledge there. This list caters for a few in Europe that
have a different slant on the use of Cruisers, mainly due to the
climate and the restrictions that we have. Also, knowing where take my
cruiser for mechanics attention is not good if the shop is in
Australia. (I would like the chance though).
Regards, Clive.

Hi Julian
Ops... I could swear that I've read some their messages here. Dam I'm
mixing lists, not a good sign :-(
Yes, but one of the charms of LCs is the myriad of different versions
and details that exist, even from country to country in Europe.
Regarding equipment for our LCs I wish we could have around here the
variety and prices they have in USA, OZ and NZ.
Cheers
Joaquim

Hi Joaquim,
Dana was over in November to see his son in London and came and joined
us on Salisbury Plain.
It can get confusing, I'm currently subscribed to 11 TLC related mailing
lists and most people seem to on more than one.
I agree about the variety, but there are other lists for that, like the
LCool ones.
We were originally looking at a UK list, but decided to go Euro because
we all do roughly the same type of driving and have the same type of
models.

Could you share the names of the lists with us? Might be interesting
to know what lists I'm missing out on.. :)
