For those of you who have never heard of Hedy Lamar, she was a very successful Actress, in the 30s/40s/50s

She and a friend/partner/associate developed the forerunner of what we know as Wifi, amongst other things, back in the 40s

There's not enough credit given to "founders" of present day things we take for granted. IMO.

I agree!! More pioneers are shot than settlers and they don't get much credit. Maybe they're not bothered?

Thats very interesting - the saddest thing is that I thought I knew her name but it turns out it was Blazing Saddles Hedley Lammar - I can only guess this was in recognition to her?
