All the windows were tinted by the previous owner and I've noticed a lacquer peel, salt deposit type layer forming on some windows. If I scrape it with a card it's like glitter! Anyone have any experience of this or know how to fix/stop it? Thanks,James

Yeah inside,it's not peeling away to reveal clear glass but there is some sort of coating coming off it like lacquer .

If it was me id prob discreetly Paint some clear glue over the areas.

Only other option would be to have them redone, unless someone elso knows a solution.

Yeh get rid of it altogether, bloody dangerous, i nearly killed a cyclist one night becouse i simply couldn't see him through the tint on the side window.

Kinda need the tint as I fold seats for chopsaw and benches etc and rather it was a bit harder to see. Point taken on the side windows reducing visibility at night though, I bet that was a brown trouser moment! :o
Is it easy to remove? Is it a hair dryer job and buckets of beer!?
