Just been watching "car wizard" on U. $50 head gasket took $4000 labour. Back int day I had a self built 2 door Range Rover. Pure speculation.

Re the Wimbledon crash, I've just had a look on Google earth at it's location and the lanes around. On seeing the TV pictures something in my waters told me this was caused by computer failure on the LR. Google earth picture seems to confirm this. Pure speculation I know but looking at...

    WIFI security cameras.

I have installed 2 x EZVIZ C8C WIFI cameras. They have micro SD cards in them supposed to record when someone comes within range of the sensors. The cards can be viewed on mobile phone through the EZVIZ app. Sometimes they do not record when I walk test the system . Sensitivity is OK though as...

    French Speaking Puzzle Solver Please.

I am restoring a French clock made in about 1835. Picture of face enclosed. Normally the retailers name/address is on the face and I have a list of all of them but I cannot trace this one. Welcome. I think I speak for most members on here. It's nice to have a new post from somebody with a problem and usually the forum can help, sometimes not. It would be nice to have feedback when a problem is solved especially when we did not know the answer. I can think of a few puzzles where no...

    BBC outside the box.

Very interesting to see problems on the Underground and a London weather forecast. The other day we had London news taking up half the slot suddenly...

    Don't miss Monday.

Massive new rocket is taking off for the moon on Monday. It's 100 metres tall. About the same size as Saturn 5 rocket of the 60's which had the same energy as 2.5 million tons of TNT. The computers used had about the same power as a very early mobile phone with low battery. I used to watch these...

    Digital Voice telephone on Fibre.

We have had fibre into premises installed so there is no copper from here to my exchange and probably to the server too. Great. Then we were forced to have phone over fibre as well. Bristol. Who recognises this rock ?

This rock was known as "eat more fruit" in 1970 I assume as that was what was written on it at that time. You could clearly see it from the road leading down to the Portway where it looked vertical. Anyway I decided to take a look in my series 1 SWB Landrover. In those days you could get...

My Dad was workshop foreman and lorry driver for United Dairies back in the 20's. He told me their tyres were not bought but rented from Dunlop.
