Diesel Pump Timing ?

My 24v 80 smokes a bit on start up. Blue diesel smoke. Done 130,000 on regular pump fuel. Does not burn oil.

Do the injectors need cleaning or could it be that wear in the pump drivetrain has caused the pump to be slightly retarded?

Has anyone got a service tool SST 09275-54011 or do they know whether or not the fulcrum is in the centre; then I can make the tool.

I got the sealey tools vs1131 to do my pump timing. Easy enough to do once you learn what to remove and what to leave in place. Not sure on the difference between 12v and 24v pumps though.
