High level brake light.

As Dave said, just run a new string of leads from the D-pillar & up.
I have not had a go at the J8 yet, only the J10. The J10 was fed the same way.

As the LED strip I have, is boith running & brake light, I will definately have to modify the wiring.

Strongly looking at getting hold of a J8 LX at the moment, so I may be needing two.....

On a separate note; When You guys fit the LED`s into the interior lamp, do they dim all the way down?
Seen some lately that still sort of glimmer in the dark... Current "leaking" through-> rather annoying IMO.

I changed the interior roof lights to LED's a long time ago and occasionally they have a few of the little 'bulbs' fail and give out less light so have been replaced, not always from the same supplier, all those I have used have never 'leaked' any light when turned off so maybe it is a fault on your truck?

the interior light is connected to the immobilizer, which controlls the dimmer.
It is in this case hooed up to a SouthAfrican LUMENO light....
Tried the same with another LED lamp. Same story. Have "rectified" it with a relay but that has caused other issues.

I have used LED bulbs on other vehicles without experiencing the glimmer.

Even though off topic I will mention it-> Be carefull when wiring older Suzukis... You may be in for a surprise or two....

I took out the OE alarm and installed my own, no leakage issues. IIRC the light around the ignition bezel dims whether the alarm is fitted or not, perhaps a tap into that for LED's but not normal bulbs, it may be a bit too much?

regards

Dave

Correct, the dimming is off the Toyo immobilizer, which dimmes down the interior light but seems to let "some" juice through...
I am reluctant to throw in a resistance due to possible heat. For now a relay sort of workes but not to my utter satisfaction.....
