How to wire fridge

I have my fridge in a sliding drawer and I am looking for solutions to prevent the wire getting trapped whilst opening and closing.

I am currently working on having the female socket on the drawer frame and somehow mounting the cigarette adapter in line so when the drawer is closed the plug fits the socket. Obviously this won’t give power to the fridge when the drawer is out.

I thought about coiled cable, like a phone those that are old enough to remember corded phones but will go saggy.

Any other suggestions?

I know exactly what you mean. I have two fridges on sliders and both have successfully avoided snipping the cable so far. About halfway along the slack section, I attached a small bungee. As the drawer extends and retracts it handles the cable perfectly

I would definitely avoid your pulling the plug out idea. For that road leads to electrical nightmares.

Yes exactly as per the video but I don't use a retractable device. They are B&Q mini bungees. Exactly the same as a bg bungee but only about 6" long. But a retractable key lanyard or similar would work well

I might even get some of those for their intended purpose. Thanks. The time I waste when I leave tools everywhere must be 30 minutes to an hour a week. And that’s just at one location!

It’s the adult version of having your gloves on elastic through the sleeves of your jacket.

I could even get some for Lynn’s glasses…
That would save her hours!

My thought that with a proper load rating they may last a bit longer then the cb or key ones that look a bit cheap.and nasty

Cheers all. I haven’t got room for the track as I already considered this after seeing in on the cnc’s at work.

I have some of the fishing zingers. May even acquire a few more from reception from the visitor passes.......
