hi guys can anyone tell me what I can only describe as a clink /shudder from gearbox it happens more when first starting off, and usually from first to second and on slowing down should I be overly concerned the truck has only done 106000 it's a 2001

Is it an Auto or Manual gearbox (suspect Auto!) ??

Could it be the traditional driveline clunk? Normally a result of hydro-lock in the splines on the prop-shafts. Too much grease pumped in. Try removing the zerks for the splines, take it for a short spin and see if the clunk goes away.
 
Possibly UJ`s

They can make for some VERY interesting issues when worn.

As for the Autobox, Whats the service history like? Judder in an Autobox is never a good thing.
I recently had a Chevy Tahoe with a judder. & Fubared UJ`s... Fitted new UJ`s & threw some Dr.Trannie onto the box. Runs smooth as silk now :)
