went to help neighbour who was stuck in her defender on our lane. she had made it 75m, i came from other direction and made it 300m through the drifts!
tried to help her with spade and waffle boards, then farmer came along with big tractor.
so he towed the landy out with me driving it :)

then i found out that due to stopping to help her my LC was now stuck! it had been fine with momentum.
so tractor pulled me out...

the shame

at least i know i would have got through if there hadn't been a stuck defender in the way :icon-cool:

cant blackmail me now Andrew :icon-biggrin: ive admitted it

I'm getting a tractor! What are they like on fuel? I commute 40 miles a day, but red's cheaper :icon-biggrin:.

ps the landy driving position and gearbox awfull!

Looks a pretty decent tractor, 4x4 yeah ?

Gra.

Sadly that tractor would cost about twice as much as the LR and LC combined.

going to have to leave the LC closer to the road tonight, since i need to be at airport for 8am tomorrow, and strong winds and more snow showers will lead to more drifting and filling in the lane...

Is that a plough on the front of the trackky, ?

Gra

two tractors were involved - one neighbour farmer pulled us out, then another chap we also know, came along with the tractor with huge plough - in the bottom two photos.
plough is about 5ft tall! a big wedge shaped plough
