Bit more progress last night... o/s arms and steering knuckle off. Waiting for pipe spanners to turn up before attempting the steering rack, those hoses look like nut-rounding-off hell! Welding this weekend... plan is to get the chassis and inner arches done along with full clean-up and prep so we can paint (UPOL Raptor) the underside... I can then get the new front suspension/arms/knuckes (with new polly bushes, bearings and ball joints), steering rack (with new tie rods and fluids), the new rear axle/training arms (with new polly bushes, bearings, rebuilt diff/locker and new actuator + wiring), prop shaft, fuel tank (cleaned-up and painted), new brake lines/hoses, new rear calipers/discs, new front discs/cleaned-up calipers and the old wheels.... back on
Then she can go on a trailer to
Metal Products for fabbing of the inner/outer sills, outer arches, removal of windscreen and appature repair, front and rear bumper, winch mounts, rock sliders, bash guards, spare wheel/bbq carrier, high lift jack carrier, roof ladder, boot draws, dog cage and kitchen!
While she's there I'll be doing the engine and transimission services, fitting the snorkel and diff/trans breathers... paiting the insidie and outside (more raptor) and probably tons more I've forgotten!
