Fair comment Mike.... I think folk are surprised when an old rusty 80 with No MOT, Ripped seats, Paint peeling off, Needs Welding, No air con, etc etc Goes for 8 grand.... Im surprised....... But yes, To any individual owner, They are Priceless....
 
IMO, buyers of 80 series mostly fall into one of two categories these days. Enthusiasts or "flippers", hoping to make a quick killing on the back of recent price trends. Anyone in the first category will (should) have a fair idea what they can cost to repair if you make a bad purchase. Anyone in the second probably isn't that bothered if they can move it on for a healthy profit. That's different to a specialist garage buying one to do a complete rebuild/refurb of course which would certainly command a premium!

yeah i know what you mean higgy.

id pay 13k for the right 80 if i was in the market.

the red one has pretty low miles, to me it leaves you with 5k in the kitty to make it into a 13k 80.

a good interior is a big thing for me. seats can be refurbished but the rest is difficult. i have a pet hate for screw holes in the dash..

That is a lot of money for two compressors that have been wired in and a fridge slide where is the full spec list and says video available but could not find it not that I would even think of buying it that would have to be a lobotomy and lottery
