TLC HJ61 total reconditioning

It is a special primer for plastic and vinyl. Examples are in the google search https://www.google.com.ph/?gws_rd=ssl#newwindow=1&q=primer+for+plastic
It does not really matter what brand, most important is the surface preparation. I usually clean with water to take off dust and other dirt then allow to dry. I then apply acetone before spraying the primer. I use a touch up spray gun to apply multiple layers of thin coats.

Thanks Oding i was always skeptical about durability without a key for paint to grip , i never thought of acetone .

Winch is now partially installed.

The windshield wiper reservoir has a new rubber gasket and a cover cap.

Both gasket I have are so brittle and worn out.

The S/S plate is glued on the bumper extension. Holes will be bored to accommodate the carriage bolt that will secure the bumper extension to the bumper.

Looks great Oding there's nothing more satisfying than making something old look new again every time i look at your thread it breaks my heart that i am too addicted to driving my truck to disable it for long enough to follow your lead .

I totally agree with you Shayne. If not for this satisfaction, I would not do what I am doing. I always want to do things right the first time and all the time.

Finally, my nightmare is almost over.

Looks well like that gives it the bling look, looking good bet you can't wait now your near the finish look.

If it were mine i would paint it but as the truck will be sold on i think i would fit the bull bar as is allowing the buyer to add a personal touch to the finish should they choose to .
