Water/methanol injection

I stumbled across a link on Mud where someone had installed this on an 80 1HD-T

Appears to be a proven technology that has real benefits Would certainly help with overtaking and holding speed up steep hills etc.

I remember my father telling me of how he put water injection on his first car, an Austin Morris from what I can recall This would have been some time back, maybe late 50's early 60's. From what I can remember he had a small metal water container with a length of thin copper pipe connected to it that then went on to be wrapped around the exhaust next to the manifold and then on to be inserted into a small hole that he'd drilled into the inlet manifold I never saw it just heard him speaking of it a number of times over the years
