Day 1 of ownership - leaking fuel tank

Hi all,

Just put 5 quids worth of petrol in the v8 and 4 quid of it went on my trainers.

I need a new tank. I was thinking of calling around the breakers but found this at Milners. I think it is fairly reasonably priced. Has anyone used this kit before?

You sure its the tank and not the filler pipe you need to replace ?

Don't think theres any discount codes just mention the club and they will know it , I suppose they see it as advertising .

That will be my next tank...
The original tank has a problem that many other makes also have: A seam around the belly which gathers gravel and water. Combine with salted roads and it doesn't take long.
As Shayne hints: The filler pipe is as least as susceptible as the tank.

Probably not, but that's some way off. I want to get some use out of it first.

Has exactly same problem last year. New filler pipe fixed that, then tank is going porous so ordered one that’s being fitted next week. Hopefully that’s the last of it for a while.

No, from FB group Toyota LandCruiser Source Uk, Ireland and Europe. From great guy Nayab Akbar. Bought a few parts from him.
