Hello all,

I needed to take a spin down from Warrington to London.
I parked at Kilburn, by the tube station.
No load, just 2 of us.

Total miles = 356.7
brim to brim litres used = 51.31

= 11.12 km per litre
= 31.41 mpg.
Cruise set 65 mph all the way.

I am pleased enough with such high miles of 225k.

Well if it was me I would not have parked up in Kilburn... but then that's just me.

Impressive MPG though, although I am not sure I could have stuck at 65 all the way

Hi Tony,
I know what you mean by parking up in Kilburn.
Does look a bit iffy.
And I can tell you, 65mph is not easy, but I just wanted to see what she can still return me.
65 is just fast enough to occupy the middle lane most of the time.
Often drifting to the fast lane to overtake a couple of HGV's battling it out,
and then I get thrown into the inside lane.
I really don't think there is any more economy to be had, I tried my best, at what I thought was best economical speed.
RPM's were around 1850-1900

I don't thing I could have been any more economical at 70.
Maybe a tad more economical at 60, but then that really does take an eternity to get to places.

I am certain I am higher than that in the manual. IIRC I am just over 60 at 2000. Will confirm in the morning.

Wow, that's defiantly low speed.
I am going out later, so I will hold a steady 2000 rmp, on a long local flat A road.
Speedo and GPS results later today

2000 in the 80 with 33" gives me 60 mph dead on. Which is slightly better than it was with the 31" on, naturally.

To do 56 mph, my revs are just below 1700

Interesting. To do 65, I was doing 2400. I wonder why they are geared so differently.
